Our History

Holland Applied Technologies has been providing services to the Pharmaceutical, Food/Beverage, and Personal Care industries for over 100 years. In the early 1900’s the company was known as Harry Holland & Sons. It was a chemical representative company that serviced the pharmaceutical and personal care industries with oil, petrolatum, and silicones products. Harry Holland & Sons continued to be a chemical supplier until the early 1960’s when the customers they were selling to, began asking for methods to transfer the chemicals that Holland was selling.

Three gentlemen soon became the foundation of the Holland Co. by implementing the means to transfer the various liquids and chemicals that they represented. Stan Lind, Paul Rossbach and Colin Haase began welding stainless steel piping in a local community volunteer fire station to handle some of the corrosive liquids that the cosmetic companies required. Offering these additional products and services then led to forming a new company- Harry Holland Distributing Co. This new company was started in the early 1960’s for $700; in order to sell stainless steel fittings and pumps to the industries they served.

Harry Holland Distributing Company continued to grow into the largest Tri-Clover distributor in the country, selling new sanitary/hygienic equipment to transfer process liquids. In the 1980’s and 1990’s Colin Haase took over as President and transformed the company into a technical powerhouse. The company changed its name to Holland Applied Technologies to reflect the types of work it was now providing. There were three divisions – Chemical, Distribution and Fabrication- each with its own set of experts in their field. Holland Applied Technologies was the first company in the industry to have an XRF Analyzer to perform non-destructive testing of stainless steel for the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. We helped drive the industry to better validate the components that were providing necessary products people relied upon each day. In the late 1990’s Holland began fabricating large modular skids for the biotech/pharma industry. Our Engineering and Fabrication departments offered unique and efficient solutions to the industry’s needs. Our commitment to Quality and Customer Service was and still is, unparalleled in the industry.

There have been many key people that have worked at Holland over the years, each with a different role. It is the people and commitment that have in the past, and continues today, to make Holland Applied Technologies a great place to work. We have unique craftsmen, highly trained personnel, and unwavering dedication. Holland has always relied on the strength of each individual employee joining together to form a great Team.  We have been and continue to be a Family-Owned Business.
